Using Mouse-on-Mouse IHC Kits With Various Sample Types

Accurate localization of mouse primary antibodies in mouse tissue is confounded by endogenous mouse immunoglobulins present in the tissue, that react with the anti-mouse secondary antibody reagent, causing off-target staining. In order to eliminate this background staining, reagents which block the endogenous mouse immunoglobulins and prevent non-specific staining are commonly used, and known as Mouse-on-Mouse or MOM kits.
