Cell therapy manufacturing processes require controlled environments, but clean room space is hard to obtain and maintain. Closed systems reduce clean room space requirements by up to 90 percent. Through their modular nature, they permit the decoupling of rapid processes (e.g. buffer changes) from lengthier ones (e.g. cell expansion). Furthermore, closed systems can employ counterflow centrifugation, facilitating cell recovery, washing, and concentration with minimal mechanical stress and no pelleting.
Download this poster from Thermo Fisher Scientific to discover how closed counterflow centrifugation systems help researchers optimize their cell therapy manufacturing workflows.
