LYOPHILIZED DRUG PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

An on-demand webinar with Dr. Luca Okunleye

Wolfe LP2_500x250
Lyophilization (freeze-drying) is an important formulation technique used in drug development and production for improving long-term product stability of aqueous formulations. Lyophilization is a two-step process: after freezing, the first drying stage induces sublimation, where ice or other frozen solvents are removed, whereas the second stage involves desorption, where bound water molecules are removed. The product is an dry, elegant and stable cake that can be reconstituted using water before administration.

In this webinar from Wolfe Laboratories, learn about:
  • What is lyophilization and how does it work?
  • What can (and can't) be lyophilized?
  • What instruments and processes are required for lyophilization?
  • How do I develop a lyophilization process for drug products?
